Tracy discovered her deep love for yoga during a massage residency at the Heartwood Institute in Northern California (1993–1995) with Gayna Uranski, though her roots in the practice go back to childhood, practicing alongside her mother. She began teaching in 1995, with early influences grounded in the Iyengar and Ashtanga traditions.

Over the years, her practice has evolved from these more structured, linear forms into a gentler, more intuitive exploration of movement and breath. She is especially drawn to subtle, body-wise modalities that cultivate strength, core stability, increased body awareness, and vibrant, sustainable well-being for all ages.

She holds certifications from The Ashtanga Yoga School, 8 Limbs Yoga Centers (200- and 500-hour trainings), and Yoga Tune Up®. Tracy is one of the lead trainers for the Grounded Wisdom Yoga Teacher Training at 8 Limbs Yoga in Seattle.

Known for her humor, compassion, anatomical savvy and grounded welcoming presence, Tracy creates inclusive, noncompetitive spaces where students are supported in discovering their own unique brilliance. Whether teaching group classes, workshops, or training future teachers, her work is rooted in the belief that yoga is a powerful tool for remembering who we truly are.
